Congratulations on turning 18!

As an adult, there are some important things to know. This can be overwhelming for you and your family which is why we have developed this workshop just for you. Our team is here to walk you through all you need to know at your own pace.

Together we'll cover: Disability Support pensions, Government services, finding a job, education and training, relationships/friendships and other disability-specific information.

Turning 16 is an exciting time for those involved.
Many opportunities become available at this milestone.

To assist parents and carers during this transition we have developed the
Now I'm 16 workshop. Together we will cover: Disability Support pensions,
Government services, finding a job, education and training,
relationships/friendships and other disability-specific information
at your own pace.

Employment 4 U is an opportunity to come together to learn new skills, share knowledge and experiences!

What could Employment look like for U?

There are lots of different types of employment and ways to be employed.

Hear from peers who have found employment that works for them.

There will be guest speakers and presentations on how to prepare for employment and explore what opportunities exist in the Gladstone Community.

 Carers Queensland will be there to tell us how the NDIS can also support employment.

Date: Saturday 27th April 2024

The Forum is 9am – 3pm @ Philip St Community & Families Precinct
The Concert is 6-9pm @ Yaralla Sports Club

Tickets are available via Humanitix – $30 Forum, $30 Concert or $50 for both. Companion Ticket $15 Forum.
