P2P is the Queensland Agency for Inclusion Australia
Inclusion Australia is the national peak body for people with an intellectual disability.
Our CEO is a Director on the Board of Inclusion Australia. We are the go to organisation for rolling out state-wide projects for people with an intellectual disability.
Inclusion Australia does systemic advocacy working with Federal Governments to affect policy change. As the Queensland member, P2P works with local and State Governments to affect change.
Parent to Parent
Parent to Parent’s journey began with a simple yet powerful idea – that no parent should have to navigate the complexities of accessing support and information for their child with a disability alone.
Parent to Parent (also known as P2P) has been assisting people with disabilities, parents and carers since 1998. We empower people with disabilities and their families by providing access to resources, advocacy and peer support. We facilitate goal setting and future planning for key life transitions through tailored skill sessions and our P.A.T.H. program.
The P2P story was and is personal, having started when a small group of paents banded together to form their own support network. Now, we pride ourselves on a team that can provide real, lived experience and support, and an organisation that offers employment opportunities to people with an intellectual disability through our project work.
