Employment 4 U – Disability Forum, Gladstone

Join Us, for the inaugural Employment 4 U Disability Forum on 27th April, 2024 at Philip Street Communities and Families Precinct, Gladstone.

Hear from local people with disabilities about their employment journeys and successes.

Learn about customised employment options tailored to your abilities, passions, and skills.

If you are experiencing challenges in finding meaningful paid work or you are interested in exploring different employment options, then come along to learn more.

Connect with peers, ask questions, gain insights on navigating the challenges of finding employment and learn more about what the NDIS can do to support you.

There will be guest speakers and presentations.

"People living with disability aren’t looking for a hand-out or to be given a job because they have a disability. All they want is a fair opportunity in the recruitment process, for employers to have an open mind towards how a task can be done, and to be considered according to their skill set and experiences they can bring, not their personal situation.”

The Forum is followed by an evening concert and dance party at Yaralla Sports Club from 6pm to 8:30pm. Enjoy performances by local talent and Sunshine Coast hip-hop rapper, MC Wheels.  A big night of celebration showcasing abilities.
