What’s on in Central Queensland
October is shaping up to be a full and exciting month for our Central Queensland community, with a mix of peer groups, workshops, and special events.
We’ll be gathering for the Stand By Me Peer Group on Tuesdays, 7 and 21 October, and the My Time Parent Group on Tuesdays, 14 and 28 October. These groups are a great way to connect, share experiences, and support one another.
On Thursday, 16 October, we’re hosting the Now I’m an Adult Workshop in Gladstone, supporting young people and their families as they navigate the transition to adulthood.
Later in the month, on Thursday, 23 October, we’ll be running a practical Facilitator Training to learn how to Start Your Own Special Interest Peer Group Workshop, to equip participants with the skills to lead and strengthen their own groups.
We’re also very excited to be travelling down together by bus with participants to attend the Loud and Clear Conference and Concert on 9-10 October. This event celebrates advocacy, inclusion, and the power of lived experience, with two days of inspiring speakers, performances, and connection.
It’s going to be a wonderful month of learning, sharing, and celebrating across Central Queensland!
