Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope (P.A.T.H.) is a dynamic tool designed to help students, their families, and educators collaboratively create a roadmap for a positive and achievable future. The P.A.T.H. team works alongside Year 10 students, their parents and teachers working on a set plan.
The PATH sessions aim is to support them in developing a plan for the years ahead. During the P.A.T.H. session, the student is guided through a series of reflective questions to explore what their life could look like after Year 12. The process helps the student identify their personal goals, map out the steps to achieve them, and recognize their circle of support. By the end of the session, a clear pathway forward is outlined, and the student leaves with concrete “first steps” to take within the next 24 hours, ensuring momentum toward their future is immediately set in motion.
Teachers gain a clear understanding of how to support each student over the next two years by gaining insight into the student’s goals and the direction they want to pursue after finishing school. This clarity allows teachers to tailor their guidance and support to align with the student’s future aspirations.
