What We’ve Been Working On in The Region
Our local team is excited to invite you to one of TWO special events focused on building a safer, more supportive community for people with Autism and their families.
We’re hosting a FREE, informative suicide prevention workshop designed to empower participants with the knowledge and skills to make a real difference.
About the Workshops:
This friendly and supportive session will help you:
Recognise the signs that someone may be struggling
Respond safely and confidently
Connect people to the right support services
Event details:
🗓 Date: Thursday 1 May (workshop for people with ASD, familes and supports), Friday 2 May (workshop for professionals)
📍 Location: Maryborough Neighbourhood Centre
⏰ Time: 9:00am start
Participants will complete the accredited safeTALK training. Young people aged 15–17 must be accompanied by a supervising, consenting adult.
At the end of the 4-hour workshop, you’ll receive:
A take-home workbook
An official certificate of completion
Morning tea will be provided.
