Carers Qld
Being a carer is a role rarely chosen by most and does not discriminate. At some stage, the responsibilities of your caring role may contrast with the demands of your own life.
That’s why it’s important that you take the necessary steps to protect your own health and wellbeing.
Launched in September 2020, the Carer Health and Wellbeing program was created with carers in mind.
The program takes care of you as a carer. It provides you with the necessary tools to maintain or improve your general health and wellbeing.
Because taking care of yourself is what makes taking care of your loved ones possible.
Community Events
Through a monthly calendar of events, the program gives you the opportunity to focus on your own health and wellbeing, develop new skills, and increase your awareness of available community supports and organisations to support you in your caring role.
The Program provides the best space for carers to connect with other carers. Sessions are delivered via zoom and face to face. The Health and Wellbeing Program is developed in consultation with carers for carers to meet the needs of carers across Queensland.
