Be Prepared for Emergencies with ‘My Emergency Plan’

EPPID Update

Recently, Maryborough has experienced flooding, which highlighted the need for “Terry” with the assistance of his Mum “Lesley” to complete ‘My Emergency Plan’.

Completing My Emergency Plan helped Terry and I think about what we would do if we couldn’t stay home.  We live in a flood area and this is something that could happen to us.  We now have a plan for Terry of where he can go in an emergency and he has all the information he might need in one document,” said Lesley.

Terry now has his emergency plan and is getting his emergency backpack ready, so if the worst-case scenario happens and he needs to leave home quickly, he is prepared.

If you live in the Fraser Coast and would like to become emergency prepared and complete a plan reach out to Sonja on 0427 192 781 or email her at sonja@p2pqld.org.au. You can also view our upcoming Emergency planning clinics on our events page.

This project is funded by Country to Coast QLD through PHN the program and is supported by the Resilient Care Program.
