We would like to share with you that our Nomination for a Business Award through the Sunshine Coast Chamber of Commerce is through to the finals.
As part of completing the application process, we were asked to talk about ‘What sets us apart from other organisations’ and ‘How we meet the needs of our Customers’. What we feel sets us apart from other organisations is that parents deliver information, support and workshops to other parents. We feel that we meet the needs of people with a disability and their families by taking the time to listen to what they want and then taking action to deliver it. We are independent of direct service providers organisations and we have been doing this work for nearly 20 years.
We are very proud of our work and we hope that being a finalist raises our public profile so that more people with a disability on the Sunshine Coast can access our support in preparation for the National Disability Insurance Scheme rolling out here.
The winners will be announced on the 18th November and we will let you know how we go.
