Kathryn Lyons is Patron of Parent to Parent and a passionate entrepreneur, innovator, mentor and global advocate with a mission to achieve universal inclusion for all. Her vision is to empower and enable people, beginning with better access for all.
As an Associate Director for Queensland of Physical Disabilities Australia (PDA), Kathryn supports PDA’s endeavours in the community, and advocates for change within legislations.
Kathryn has overcome major barriers through her rare chromosome disorder and gene defect, resulting in a complex disability that is progressive and degenerative in nature, which has left her wheelchair bound. Since 2016, she has been delivering motivational talks, speaking to a variety of audiences and running workshops for community groups and government. Kathryn raises various issues but her main focus is that “disability doesn’t define anybody”.
