Hi all and welcome back to 2026! Hope you all had a lovely new year.
Here is what is happening for us in April. Let’s go.
On the 4th March we had our first Disability Dialogue meeting. We had 8 new people start work with Parent to Parent on this project. We introduced ourselves to each other, to know and understand who we are. We went through what will be happening during the meeting and discuss when we will be meeting up next.
If you don’t know what Disability Dialogue is, here is what it’s about;
The Disability Dialogue is an Australian national project led by people with disabilities. With our lived experience, we discuss what we want within the community, it’s a place where they can feel safe to tell their stories, and ideas without judgment.
You can join by:
- Doing online events: There are meetings on the computer where people can learn and ask questions.
- Being part of Projects: You can take part in surveys like Disability Discovery to tell them what support you need.
- Reading and sharing: You can read their Blogs or About Us page to see what they are working on.
