Golf Programs Australia Inc (GPAI) is a Nambour based social enterprise & registered charity formed by PGA Professional Darrell Dalton and his wife Michelle in 2015.
GPAI’s Vision is to establish a speciality golf facility in the Nambour & district that will include: a 36 bay driving range; 18 hole pitch & putt; café & function room; indoor golf simulators & cabin accommodation from which to offer speciality golf program delivery, professional seminars & training for the intellectually disabled.
The main point of difference to all other golf facilities is that the GPAI will work collaboratively with TAFE East Coast to provide significant training & work placement opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities in the areas of; basic Greenkeeping; basic machinery operation; administration; retail; hospitality; warehousing & more.
In December 2016 the GPAI Board relocated from its office located at the Old Ambulance Station to a retail space at 89 Currie Street Nambour called the GPAI Creative Co-operative.
The Co-operative showcases the organisation’s various micro-business initiatives and works closely with local artists, artisans and supporters that align with the organisation’s charity status and ethos.
